Independence Square is bordered by Lexington Avenue, Main, Maple, and Liberty Streets.
To get to the Square:
From downtown Kansas City near the Sprint Center - Head east on Truman Road (Highway 12) to Main and Lexington.
From West – From downtown Kansas City via highway, take I-35 Highway to US 24-East Highway (East Winner Road). Follow road past 435 Highway and Sterling Avenue and proceed to Main and Lexington.

From North – Take 435-South Highway to US 24-East (East Winner Road). Follow road
past Sterling Avenue and proceed to Main and Lexington.
From South – Take I-70 Highway to Sterling Avenue northbound. Turn right on US 24-East Highway
(Truman Road East). Proceed to Main and Lexington. Or, from I-70 East and 291 Highways,
take 291-North to 12-West Highway (Truman Road West). Proceed to Main and Lexington.
From East – Take 24-West Highway or 12-West Highway (Truman Road West) to Main and Lexington.
